Final Fantasy XIV offers up a void-filled story while preparing to turn house demolitions back on in North America

One of you looks ridiculous. Maybe both of you.

Final Fantasy XIV lore fans are being fed well today with another new short story from the game’s team getting unveiled. This time, players are treated to a tale of Zero and Golbez upon the Thirteenth once more… and a chance to see what prompted Zero’s own memories as well as the secure space she maintained for others within the reflection. If you’ve been wondering how those characters are getting on following the end of the Endwalker patch quests, here’s a glimpse.

Meanwhile, the developers are planning to turn on automatic house demolition for North American data centers once more starting on January 8th, 2025. This follows a pause that started in October and, if you’ve visited your home since that pause began, you needn’t do anything about it. Those who haven’t visited their in-game houses since then are advised to do so before January 8th; you can also check on the timer and if one has been paused via the in-game timer display, to boot.
