Superheroic MMORPG DC Universe Online has been kicking around for 14 years this week, and that means it’s time for players to celebrate with the return of the Anti-Monitor event, which brings familiar activities and new rewards for players to look forward to.
From now until February 3rd, players will get a free CR 420 gear box once per account by simply logging in, then they can take on the Attack of the Anti-Monitor event proper, which brings back festive world missions, the Centennial Collapse raid, and Speed Force Flux raid. All of these activities award Qwardian Crowns that can be spent on all-new rewards like an emote, costume styles, and several base items.
The Anti-Monitor event also heralds the arrival of the new event system that Dimensional Ink promised in a year-end address. This system effectively adds a progress bar that can be filled by completing daily event activities to unlock extra rewards such as another new emote, quarks, and tactical mod caches. While the Anti-Monitor event is the start of this system, more events and activities will be added including patrols. For now, it’s time for a 14th birthday bash.
