World of Warcraft Classic will add the Karazhan Crypts with the next phase of Season of Discovery

Took you long enough.

Well, they did it. They finally freaking did it. Years after players were finding the hidden crypt segment beneath Karazhan in World of Warcraft that never actually got used for content, WoW Classic is turning the area into a dungeon in the seventh phase of Season of Discovery when it goes live on January 28th. It’s worth noting that this is meant specifically to challenge well-geared players, so you should probably assume there will be difficult fights rather than just a chance for players to have earnest chats about the ethics of mage towers.

The seventh phase will also bring players a chance to search across the world for hot spots of Scourge activity ahead of the release of Naxxramas on February 6th. There are also Rune Brokers that will offer players runes for the low price of one copper coin per rune, so that should be fun for everyone aside from habitual rune hoarders. Check out the full rundown ahead of the patch if you’re still vibrating with excitement at the prospect of Karazhan’s crypts finally getting their day in the sun. (Metaphorically. They’re underground. No sun there.)
