Ever since Playable Worlds fully unveiled Stars Reach, we’ve seen a huge wave of conversation and interest rise around this sci-fi sandbox MMO. This is especially the case this month as the title is in the middle of its quite successful Kickstarter campaign.
That we’re all talking about Stars Reach is a given, but why we’re all talking about it is what I want to focus upon today. What’s making this title such a centerpiece of conversation? Is it simply the “new kid on the block” factor? Raph Koster’s name? The genuine hunger for a full-fledged MMORPG? Star Wars Galaxies fans bringing their hopes to a spiritual successor? Does it simply look exciting and innovative? Or is it something else?
