Bamco’s Elden Ring Nightreign multiplayer survival game is launching May 30

At the top of the year, we got a first look at Elden Ring Nightreign, a multiplayer co-op “survival adventure” spin-off of the Elden Ring franchise. Bandai-Namco has been busy since then. First, it ran a console network test; we don’t know how it went nor how many people showed up, but the company said y’all killed Nightlord Gladius 58,615 times, and it probably wasn’t your friend Trab killing it 58,615 times, so it sounds like a lot of people participated and Bamco could probably have bragged that up but didn’t.

Second, the studio opened preorders for Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox X|S; the base price is around 40 buckaroos, though the editions scale up to $200 if you’re so inclined. Launch is May 30th.

And finally, the dev team at FromSoftware has this week revealed one of its playable characters, Ironeye, in a new trailer.

The pitch, in case you’ve forgotten:

“Teaming up in squads of three – or daring to go solo – players must choose one of eight Nightfarers, each with different abilities, to outlast a three day-and-night cycle. Players must make split-second decisions about combat and exploration across a map that can fluctuate with different biomes, weapons, and enemies in order to become stronger, and outrun the encroaching circle of fire to be able to take on terrifying bosses at the end of each day. This culminates on the third day, where if players were successful in surviving the night must take on one of the Nightlords – new bosses for this version.”

The new character trailer as well as the preorder trailer are tucked down below.
