Nexon’s Vindictus Defying Fate is preparing for a big June alpha – and it’s one MMO fans will actually want to pay attention to as it finally adds the game’s planned multiplayer mode.
For those who’ve maybe forgotten, Vindictus Defying Fate is the latest game in Nexon’s Mabinogi/Vindictus franchise, though it’s more a UE5 multiplayer action-RPG than a traditional MMORPG or action-slasher.
“[D]eveloper and publisher NEXON announced that Vindictus: Defying Fate will be holding Steam alpha test in June 2025, following the successful pre-alpha test from March 2024. The alpha test build features numerous changes based on player feedback from the pre-alpha, including the addition of two new playable characters, a companion NPCs, multiplayer mode and a new village zone to explore and gather. […] Vindictus: Defying Fate combines brutal, skill-driven combat with a dark and immersive world. Players must read their enemies’ moves, dodge and counter with precision, and unleash powerful combos to dominate the battlefield. With unique characters and fluid action mechanics, the game offers an ARPG experience where skill defines survival, and only those who defy fate will seize victory.”
The summer alpha lines up with what Nexon has previously told investors. There’s no alpha sign-up yet, but you can already wishlist the game on Steam. The new trailer is down below.
