How can one game have two anniversaries? It’s because Black Desert had two different release dates on PC and consoles, so obviously they have distinct milestones as a result. But that also means it’s double the party for players – especially if you happen to be someone who plays both versions for some reason.
Over on PC, the game is continuing its 10th anniversary celebration with two sets of login rewards, an event that actually rewards chat spam (sort of), a two-part special pearl item exchange event, the opportunity to fight a cake for rewards (yes really), 10 extra spawns of the ocean boss Vell in the Vell-nado event, and contests, hot time, and guild events.
As for BDO’s PC patch this week, there are more class tweaks, new hunting zones added to Edania, a new enhancement-boosting item, a new buff for life skill mastery, a revamp of the Sycraria Underwater Ruins, and more merchants to various towns.
BDO Console’s big party is celebrating six years of crossplay with events with outfit boxes, login rewards and other free gifts, special colored titles to unlock, its own chat spam event and cake boss spawns (yep), and a big lengthy hot time event.
The equally large news for console players is a two–part patch that brings over multiple PC features like DP balancing, the Olvia Academy, a wide swath of class changes, changes to inland fishing revenue, guild galley updates, and various monster zone adjustments, among lots of other things.
Finally over on Black Desert Mobile, one of the biggest bits of news isn’t live right now, but is headed to the game on Tuesday, March 3rd, when the O’dyllita region arrives. This new monster zone promises lots of potent foes, buff-granting lightstones, and naturally a whole bunch of new loot to hoover up in the form of high-grade accessories. Meanwhile the mobile MMO’s patch this week is celebrating its upcoming graphics remaster with a pair of events and a couple of small bug fixes for a pair of classes, the UI, and items not being available for purchase when they should have been.
