Jazzhands are happening

Are you sporting a Massively Overpowered cape in AdventureQuest 3D without anyone around to appreciate its sublime awesomeness? Be patient just a little bit longer, and everyone can appreciate it. The game’s open beta is fast approaching, starting with the game’s next major patch that promises to add 11 new dungeons, new features, a level/gold wipe, and a discontinuation of the game’s web client (due chiefly to Unity discontinuing its web plugin). That’s also the official start of closed beta.

Assuming all goes well with the patch, about a week later, the game will catapult into open beta, setting a record for the shortest possible closed beta. Steam and Android versions will both be available for early access players at the same time, offering you another way to play and enjoy the game. If you’re playing the game, the next two weeks promise to be something of a whirlwind tour. Get ready for a whole lot of beta, a whole lot of patching, and also a fair amount of adventuring for quests. It’s in the name, after all.
