Legacy, indeed.

If you’ve been holding off on grabbing Destiny until you could grab a more substantial portion of the game for one price, you’ll be happy to know that $60 will buy you Destiny: The Collection. That includes the base game, the DLC, the first expansion, and the upcoming second expansion. You can even buy it right now and get the second expansion when it launches. It’s a whole lot of game for the cover price.

Of course, if you’re stuck with your PS3 version of the game, you might be a bit salty at the idea of not getting the next expansion, but the good news is that The Collection is also an upgrade path. Owners of the game on the PS3 or the Xbox 360 can buy the game for $40 on the next-generation console, so you can migrate from PS3 to PS4 for minimal extra cost. The offer is valid until January 31st, 2017, so you have some time to think over making the hardware jump.
