At long last – seriously, it’s been weeks of delay – everyone can play a female character in Star Citizen. Everyone who can play the game at all, that is, the game will not send representatives to your door in hopes that you will make a new girl character. But patch 3.5 is now live for all backers on the most live of the live servers, not just the PTU, so if you want to hop into the game right now, you can make a character and know that it will be somewhat stable. Assuming you don’t have, like, work or school to go to.
Of course, for those of you who were already perfectly happy playing a male character (possibly named Blast Hardcheese), the patch still contains a whole mess of other features, seeing as it’s patch 3.5. There’s a new face customization, new mission types and mission elements, new features like automated gimbals to have your ship auto-target things in a forward arc, and other improvements and mechanical updates. You need not confine yourself solely to playing a woman! But the arrival of the patch for all is still pretty great.
