Earlier this summer, Standing Stone Game announced a brand-new and unique class for Dungeons and Dragons Online: the Alchemist. No, it’s not just another potion-brewing crafter; this class is a mage that literally chucks potions and flasks and bombs.
I freakin’ love this. We hardly ever see classes like this. This is part of what I wanted out of my Guild Wars 2 Engineer, honestly, and I don’t think I’ve played something that legit threw explosive flasks for damage since the last time I tried running a mad bomber type toon in Ultima Online, where it’s not nearly as viable as I wish it were. But I know darn good and well I’ll never dip my toes back into DDO again, so I’ll never get to play this. I can’t help but wish I could just port it to an MMO I do play.
