We’re just about to see the launch of a character creator tool for our second superhero MMO of the month, as Ship of Heroes’ tool launches for backers on Friday. Ahead of that release, Heroic Games has dropped another trailer, this one showing off body morphs, from wee to massive and everything in between – in fact, the devs say their system is a “huge step up from games like City of Heroes and Star Wars: The Old Republic.” Gauntlet thrown. Again.

As we’ve previously noted, you’ll need to have chipped in $50 total to leap into this beta come Friday. “The character creator Beta will begin November 1st, and will last for a week,” the studio says. “Participants will be able to take their newly-created characters into the game world and explore the first zone, Apotheosis City.” The devs say they “expect several hundred supporters to try out their artistic toolkit, and […] have also planned a couple of events to occur in-game during the Beta.”

The new trailer and pics are below!
