(We’ve updated the end of this post with the big news from the keynote!)
Path of Exile is about to reveal its future. From the future. Because it’s Saturday already in New Zealand, you see, and the game’s inaugural ExileCon is just about to begin at the Aotea Centre in Auckland. We’re expecting full details on the 3.9.0 expansion that’s launching in December, plus the 4.0.0 “mega-expansion” coming late next year. Do note that every panel from the show will be streamed for free, so you’re not missing out on the info at least by watching from home! MOP’s MJ Guthrie is live at the con right now courtesy of GGG, and she’ll be livetweeting some of the highlights, so make sure you’re following our Twitter!
“Path of Exile 2 is a new seven-act storyline that is available alongside the original Path of Exile 1 campaign. Both the old and new storyline lead to the same shared Atlas endgame. Path of Exile 2 retains all expansion content that has been created over the last six years and introduces a new skill system, ascendancy classes, engine improvements and more.”
The devs also announced POE Mobile as well as the next challenge league, Metamorph.
HA! I called that 😄
