It’s time! After a wait that may have felt longer than usual but was actually entirely normal, Final Fantasy XIV’s latest patch is available for players to enjoy right now. See, the final patch notes have even been posted! They’re pretty similar to the preliminary patch notes, really, but now they’re the final ones.
Although they still don’t list all of the individual items found in the patch and hold those for a later date, so that feels perhaps a touch anticlimactic. Ah, well.
The centerpiece of the patch is the continuation of the main story following the events of patch 5.1, of course, along with new quests for the Eden series and even a pair of additional quests for those following the Alliance Raid story. There’s more stuff coming in the smaller interval patches like Ishgard Restoration and the Blades of Gunnhildr, but for now, revel in everything that’s here today with a quick rewatch of the trailer.
