The immediate future of DC Universe Online appears to be pretty busy according to the MMORPG’s latest producer’s letter, which provides fans several looks ahead at content updates and events that are on the near horizon.
First, the letter confirms that the Xbox X|S version that was first announced last August is moving very close to its release. “With the help of our partners over at Microsoft, our teams are working to ensure that every step we take is one worth taking to get DCUO out on Xbox Series X|S as soon as possible,” the post promises.
The preview then shares some non-spoilery images from the upcoming Episode 48, including an updated model for Big Barda and some screenshots of a new location. More details are promised during DCUO’s July 26th panel with other Daybreak studios at San Diego Comic-Con.
As for the more immediate future, the post confirms that weekly resets will start on Tuesdays instead of Thursdays beginning on July 16th, announces the launch of Brainiac Returns: Aftershock and its additional content features on July 16th, and promises several events coming to the MMO in the lead-up to Episode 48, including Homecoming, Year of the Dragon, and Batman Day.
