Are you prepared for the onset of World of Warcraft’s latest expansion? It’s almost here, but if you really can’t wait until next week for The War Within head start or the 26th for the global release, Blizzard is running a special beta test this afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. EDT.
The studio did post a full schedule for both the early access and global launch schedule, aiming to release each at the same time around the world. And if you’re in need of a one-page summary of everything that’s coming in the expansion, the same blog post includes a precis of The War Within, from the Earthen allied race to delves to the story.
Another blog post goes into even greater depth on a major War Within feature: hero talents. “Hero talents are new, self-contained talent trees that are unlocked for characters at level 71. Hero talents build on the abilities and talents of current classes and specializations.” That page is useful when you’re planning which of the 39 (!) hero talent specs you’ll be selecting for your characters.
And if that’s not enough, Blizzard released both a new “The Harbinger is Here” cinematic and a tease for what looks like an anime-style video with the advice, “Feast down, eat up.” Check it out:
