It’s time for one of the longest seasons in Destiny 2’s recent history thanks to the now-confirmed delay of The Final Shape to June 4th: The Season of the Wish has begun in the looter shooter this week, starting off the first of several planned activities that will reach forth later into the new year.

The immediate launch of the season begins another new weekly narrative quest series that takes players to the Dreaming City in order to earn the key to the Pale Heart and ultimately open the way to confront the Witness. The season’s launch also brings the usual season pass and its related weapon, new seasonal armor and a seasonal sword, new and returning weapons across multiple activities, and the crossover armor set based on The Witcher.

Later updates for the shooter will include a beta test of a raid group finder on November 30th, the opening of the Warlord’s Ruin dungeon on December 1st, the start of the Dawning holiday event on December 12th, and a new exotic weapon quest beginning on December 19th.

Naturally the season’s longer length will require padding to stretch into June, which will come by way of weekly progression-based quests in February, the return of the Guardian Games event in March, and the Into the Light update in April. In the meantime, there’s the usual seasonal landing page to read and trailer to watch.
