Destiny 2 is once again keen on letting players know that new and updated things are continuing to roll out for the looter shooter, as the past weekend’s newsletter is primarily calling attention to new artifact perks, some upcoming new weapons, and a quick preview related to exotic attunement.
The post begins with sharing complete details of the next row of artifact perks that will open at the start of Echoes Act 3, which will primarily focus on beefing up auto rifles by giving them more damage, making them cut through damage resistance, and letting them counter overload champion enemies. Next up for the Act 3 previews is the arrival of three more guns to the game, which include a solar machine gun, the game’s second-ever legendary Void trace rifle, and the return of a popular grenade launcher.
Finally, the post shared an in-development preview of an attunement selection UI for exotic class items, which is intended to slim down how many perks are vying for player attention according to Bungie. More details are promised later in the week on this feature, but it is one of a few updates planned for this tier of gear, including ways for players to earn these items from more sources, presumably so they can stop feeling like they have to use AFK macros to earn them.
