And just like that, New World’s Aeternum beta is over, as the servers went dark again at noon EDT.

“We want to thank everyone that took the time to explore Aeternum,” Amazon wrote on Twitter. “Our team at Amazon Games greatly appreciates the passionate engagement shown by players.” Now, the team is asking gamers to share feedback in-game, on Discord, and a survey that is apparently en route.

While there’s been plenty of grumping, the social media feedback so far is actually fairly positive, in line when our own experience, with gamers begging Amazon to keep the beta going, so there’s that. Though we don’t know how many total people showed up on console, just the PC segment saw a small bump in players compared to most of the summer (when there has been no new content coming and even the season leaderboards ended early).

Beta and live, respectively.

Launch is exactly a month away on October 15th, so stay tuned.
