It’s hard to really get a sense of how EVE: Valkyrie will play if you’re not actually wearing one of the two VR headsets the game is being developed for. That’s kind of its whole thing. But the game is on display at this year’s E3, and that means there’s new footage and screenshots for plans to delight to even with a regular old computer screen.
As before, the game is in development for the Oculus Rift and the PlayStation 4’s upcoming Morpheus headset. Check out both screenshots and some video footage (adjusted for non-VR viewing) from the show.

Massively Overpowered is on the ground in Los Angeles, California, for E3 2015, bringing you expert MMO coverage from NCsoft, Blizzard, Ubisoft, BioWare, and everything else on display at the expo!
PurpleCopper a good portion of EVEs 100k subscribers im guessing.
Yes, the combat looks good but its not an MMO, its a lobby shooter. And I dont want to buy an Oculous Rift.
PurpleCopper Depends on the price tag vs quality of experience I guess.
Just exactly how many people will have a VR set once Valkyrie comes out?
I’d much prefer they continue work on Legion or Dust.
The GB article re last weeks VR event was
“We have a project going on for the Gear VR as well, and we have another team working on crazy futuristic R&D with input. It’s a really cool prototype using the Microsoft Kinect, where you can scan your body and project it into VR and do all kinds of tracking.”
So they are working with the Facebook, Sony and Samsung devices as well as using the Kinect to lower the TTP.
Props to them for being aggressive. Â Grumpy business type such as myself wonder how quickly VR will move from early adopter to mainstream and just how many resources CCP to invest in the future. Regardless, it is quite interesting and VR someday may be huge.
Gee – a rehash of the reveal last year; only this time, no Katie Sackhoff in person? Meh.
Hmm, the game looks too… easy? Coming from War Thunder, it’s hard to see this type of space dogfighting as difficult if everyone just strafes around looking at each other.
I can’t wait to play this dog fighter. One think I am really happy about is that CCP games is stating it as such.
Rhime wolfyseyes The issue I see is can they make a 20 hour game out of it?  Snowboarding down a mountain.  That is cool for a ride at a themepark but for it to be worth anything it will have to be something other than 6 minute demos.  I’ve seen nothing to indicate otherwise.
That reminds me I need to start planning my hand knitted VR goggle cozy store on Etsy.
