Albion Online gets ready for closed beta

Albion Online is ticking down to the official start of its closed beta test on November 23rd, and in a new state of the game post, the developers talk about what changes and improvements will go into the build when players see it later this month.

There’s nothing earth-shattering in regard to the changes, but most should be welcome. There’s a new weapon, the quarterstaff, as well as visual improvements and individual looks for each of the types of laborers. The team took away the silver cost to crafting and guaranteed all farmers a return of a seed when harvesting crops.

The destiny board has gotten an overhaul since the summer alpha to make it more compact and understandable, while the land auction system should be in place for the beta. Sandbox Interactive said that the increased number of testers mean that there will be two continents open when the CBT begins, with shipping routes available between the landmasses.

Bashmet Griffs I enjoy a little pvp in open world MMO’s, but only in small doses. I can’t even understand why anyone would join a game where you can’t leave a city without being hunted down constantly.

Bashmet But don’t you want to spawn in the starting area and 6 people waiting to kill you for hours to take your shit gear????!

Ah come on guys,

So you take a sickle, you cut down your entire hay field. No big deal right?

Ok, now take your pitchfork and rakes, and make it into rails, you know like your gonna do some cocaine.

Then you roll it up like a snowball.

Or you could just haul it on a trailer and pitch it into piles because they didnt make bales lol.

Man, I’m really torn. I could play this, or just slap myself in the balls repeatedly.

Some nice bales you have there, made with an authentic medieval John Deere baler by the looks of things.
