What’s the last thing you’ve ever done in an MMORPG before it was shut down? If you have ever found yourself in this unfortunate position, chances are that you went on a whirlwind tour of the game and took as many screenshots and videos as possible.
Today, we’ll begin with one of the last things that Amorey ever saw in the belated Landmark: pies. Well, there are worse ways to go out!
“During my last few hours in Landmark before the final sunset, I visited my friends, and then I built a small ship ready to sail into the west with everything I needed for the last journey,” Amorey writes. “Oh how I miss this game.”
“The 23rd century storyline is what finally kept me engaged (pun intended) with Star Trek Online long enough to get immersed in the game,” sent in Jake. “The storyline ended far too quickly, but every moment of it was perfect. This mission was by far my favorite, even though I did feel like a plus one at someone else’s office party. Who knew onesies were considered appropriate formal attire in the 23rd century?”
No, it’s not Stargate Worlds, but Champions Online! Generally, I say that if you ever come across a circular portal with all sorts of technology around it, jump through. What’s the worst that could happen?
Yrys stepped through this portal and was never seen again. Probably left bones two miles down on the bottom of the ocean floor.
“OK, so I’m not actually leaving Final Fantasy XIV — just taking a break,” Vincent said. “The Eureka grind just about did me in, I need some time off. Here is my level 20 (elemental) Summoner, exhausted from the FATE trains, ready for a nap.”
I’m always down for a good fireworks show, especially in a game as beautiful as Black Desert. Xijit shared this particular shot from the game’s second year anniversary event. Admittedly it could have been a very colorful battle going on, but either way, eye candy!
For this week’s screenshot challenge, let’s think “unusual.” Have you ever seen — and then screenshotted — something in an MMO that you don’t see every day in games? Something a little weird, a little… out of the ordinary? Let’s see it!
