World of Warcraft drops lots and lots of dungeon damage in a hotfix

Numbers get smaller.

If you’re going to read through the latest set of pre-patch hotfixes for World of Warcraft, we hope you enjoy the phrase “damage has been reduced.” You’ll be reading it a lot in these particular patch notes. Dungeons and raids have been tuned down in several spots, and it’s not just damage reductions; players will also find enemies with lower health, vehicles with lower stats, and so forth. All of this makes sense, of course, since the game did just undergo another major stat squish that rewrote item levels in a major way, but it’s still a recurring theme.

The hotfix patch also fixes a number of bugs, shrinks any Dimetradons Hunters may have tamed, and places two important rune options for Death Knights at level 55 so that everyone can use Fallen Crusader or Stoneskin Gargoyle. Check out the full list of hotfixes as you make your way through the pre-patch environment; you’ve got a little bit more time before the game’s next expansion lands in the wild.
