Between Valentine’s Day and the Lunar New Year, MMO events are piling up around us, and we’re not even mad about it.
First up, Defiance 2050 is seeing its first ever Colony Courtship event thanks to Gamigo. In past years, the event’s seen classic Defiance players running around chasing hellbugs, so that’ll be some fun starting on February 11th.
In Daybreak’s DC Universe Online, you’ll be entering the tunnel of loooooooove (you have to say it like that) as the Valentine’s Day events go live with new feats, styles, and base deco. It’s a day early, even!
“The Star Sapphires are again making an effort to rekindle the love lost in Gotham City. Mister Freeze knows what the Zamaron crystals are capable of and has hatched a plan to bring his wife Nora back by integrating their crystals into his cryogenic technology. This misuse of the crystals is extremely dangerous and could cause an exothermic reaction that would destroy the entire city! Check the Events tab in the On Duty menu for “Love’s Battlefield” to aid the Star Sapphires (Heroes) or Mister Freeze (Villains).”
It’s still Lunar New Year season for other MMOs, including MapleStory 2. The global version has launched Ming Ming’s New Year Events, with the Dungeon Delight Event for Hard Adventure Dungeons running into March and Lucky Pig Coins dropping for loot.

Finally, World of Warships is celebrating Lunar New Year with a major update and rework of aircraft carriers “so that they now offer players direct control of their aircraft squadrons, sending them to attack targets, while Carrier commanders now feature additional skills specific to aircraft tactics.”
“In celebration of the Lunar New Year, player’s home base, the Dragon Port, has received a cosmetic makeover. Dragons, fireworks, streamers, and more now adorn the Port, making it a festive place to dock your fleet! Along with the Port’s visual update, players will be able to earn new ship camouflage patterns for select ships (the Anshan, Loyang, Huanghe, and Irian), bonus containers, and flags.”
