In last week’s WRUP, I mentioned playing a thing I couldn’t talk about on my Switch. Now I can because 2012 ARPG Torchlight II has launched for ALL the consoles, as first announced at this summer’s E3. As previously covered, this version of the game includes specific targeting, control, and UI tweaks for console players, in addition to an updated achievement system and new pets.

“Today, Perfect World Entertainment Inc., a leading publisher of live service games, and developer Panic Button announced Torchlight II is now available on the Nintendo Switchâ„¢ system, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One. Originally developed by Runic Games, the award-winning dungeon crawler invites gamers to explore an exciting new world, filled with blood thirsty monsters and bountiful treasure waiting to be discovered. The team at Panic Button Games has developed a version of the game specifically for today’s consoles, which features brand new content, including exclusive pets for each platform. Torchlight II is rated T for Teen and available for digital download worldwide on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation®4 system for $19.99. “

Torchlight II, of course, is not a proper MMO, but it can indeed be played multiplayer, as the Massively crew did years ago for an amusing and fun Second Wind roundtable. MMO players will also have their eye on the in-alpha Torchlight Frontiers, which recently dropped its eight large patch.
