A Friday the 13th doesn’t come around in October very often, but it sure is a fun day to talk horror in MMOs. No, I’m not talking about NGEs or P2Ws or P2Es – I mean scary, creepy content, stuff that isn’t just trotted out for the requisite Halloween event.
Traditionally, The Secret World aka Secret World Legends has been the go-to MMO for Lovecraftian type horror, but there are plenty of other MMOs that put up some solid creepypasta. For example, Guild Wars 2’s Secrets of the Obscure has a world-ending Cthulhu-esque boss that absolutely made my jaw drop, and Elder Scrolls Online’s Necrom didn’t shy away from ghastly horrors either.
