It's the climb.

The release of Dawntrail is increasingly in the rear view for Final Fantasy XIV players, and that prompts a natural curiosity about the first patch of the expansion. After all, you know it’s coming. The next Letter from the Producer is unlikely to announce a launch date for the patch (that’s usually not until the second letter), but fans can still expect to find out initial reveals and details about the next patch when the letter takes place on Saturday, September 28th.

Or is that Sunday, September 29th? The answer is that it’s both; the video will start up at 1:50 a.m. EDT on Sunday, September 29th, which is Saturday evening for PDT. It’s taking place at the Tokyo Game Show, hence the timing. And like most small patches, slides will include English text but the actual audio will all be in Japanese. But even if you can’t quite stay up for the event, you can still look forward to learning about the game’s next patch toward the end of the month.
