We want to take a walk.

If you’re worried about the future of The Elder Scrolls Online updates and its overall content cadence right now… we know. We’re worried too. Let’s all hug it out and maybe it will be all right. But at least amidst all of the content schedule changes the game has not abandoned its players in the wild with nary a sign; the game’s next update and DLC are available on the test servers now, and so you can try out two new dungeons for yourself in the process.

But if two new Fallen Banners DLC dungeons don’t delight you, there are also newly refreshed starter zones and numerous quality-of-life changes to try out. Best of all, you won’t have to undertake any particularly arduous quests to get onto the game’s test server; there’s an option to download and swap right from the launcher. So no, playing update 45 may not put your mind completely at ease, but it is new content that’s ready to test ahead of the full release. That ain’t nothing.

Do note that the Cyrodiil Champions PvP content isn’t in this initial stage of testing.

“The two new dungeons, Exiled Redoubt and Lep Seclusa, explore some of the more broad implications of the Three Banners War from a story perspective, while offering new challenges to those of you up for the task. The prologue quest sees the resurgence of a once defeated foe in The Worm Cult wandering Tamriel once again.

“For quality-of-life systems, you’ll see an overhaul of the in-game map, Green Champion Point Star improvements, mount speed adjustments and starter zone art refresh, just to name a few. There is also a new Crime Wave mini-event type available for testing now this week. There is a full list of base game improvements listed for week one of PTS below.

“There will also be additional announced improvements and tests, like Cyrodiil Champions, highlighted in later weeks of the PTS Cycle, so stay tuned for that.”

You’ve got plenty of time to test here; the full launch isn’t coming until March 10th for PC/Mac and March 25th for console.
