One Shots: Time for a well-deserved bio break

One can only imagine how it would be if our MMORPG characters were like the Sims with bladder meters. We’d have to pause raids not just for real-world bio breaks but virtual ones as well. Don’t forget to flush!

“Game designers often forget about the truly important things like providing restrooms to player characters,” said Scott. “Thankfully, Honkai Star Rail’s team not only included a toilet on its space station, but featured it in several MASSIVELY IMPORTANT questlines (sarcastic emphasis added).”

With summer in full swing — at least in non-koala regions — the attention turns to visions of tropical getaways and beach cabanas. It looks like Yrys found a nice one in Elder Scrolls Online — if only the weather would cooperate!

“Sitting outside at night in the Grand Topal Hideaway mid-thunderstorm (and in fact, mid-lightning strike). This is probably my favorite housing in ESO.”

And Vincent has found a happy place in Final Fantasy XIV with some fruity concoctions: “FF16 has my full attention this week so my FF14 character continues to live her best life on the island sanctuary without a care in the world. As it should be.”

Let’s play “can you spot Minimalistway in Book of Travels?” Good luck!

“The warden told me I missed my chance to fight bandits and smugglers, so I walked for long to reach this place. I guess I’ll wait for the bandits to show up again.”

And finally, Utakata gives us this colorful profile: “A number of years ago in joining the ranks of Blade and Soul paradigm, I had the opportunity to roll male characters that don’t conform to that He-Man/Conan understanding of masculinity in a RPG setting. And furthering the push away from gender norms, I had the opportunity via a quest reward to add this wonderful flower arrangement to their hair. So not only does it seem to be journey in progression and story for this character… but one of identity. Thus becoming one of my favorite toons outside of the pink persona.”

Take my hand and tip toe down into the comments section, being careful not to wake the troglodyte on the way there. Then we shall whisper to each other of fantastic dreams and paint them on the wall there.
