Science fight!

The next patch for Final Fantasy XIV is on its way, and that means that players can start gawking at some of the additions on the patch preview site. Of course, since the second live letter has not arrived, that primarily means reading lore descriptions and checking out pretty screenshots, but they are very pretty screenshots. Even the one of Zoraal Ja staring at the middle distance in sepia tones. No, really, it’s down there.

Players can also look forward to the Vana’diel alliance raid series starting off in Yak T’el (with a somewhat less-than-familiar elezen child seeming to headline), while the main story revolves around unearthing secrets that may be related to Alexandria’s history. Yuweyawata Field Station also appears to be related to a forgotten turali vidraal fought by Zoraal Ja, though what that may mean for the dungeon remains to be seen. So there are questions to be teased at when the next live letter occurs – and images to look at until then.
