Final Fantasy XIV opens up free trials for December

If you’ve been away from Final Fantasy XIV, perhaps December is the month when you’d like to give it another try. Really, what else happens in December? Is it so much stuff that you can’t spare four days for free logins for Eorzea? Because that’s what you get. From December 1st until January 4th, players with lapsed accounts can log in whenever they so desire and continue to log in for 96 hours after that first login.

As with previous promotions of a similar nature, players cannot log in if their accounts are no longer active due to bans. You’ll also want to log in before January 1st if you want to get the full 96 hours of trial availability. Meanwhile, currently active players who just want a new pet and live access to what’s going on during the game’s Japanese fan festival can now purchase access to the streaming coverage of the fanfest, so you can look forward to that.
