Elder Scrolls Online explores Argonian culture for Murkmire as the free house promo deadline approaches

You folks all geared up for a trek into the swamps of Tamriel? I hope so because Murkmire is coming for The Elder Scrolls Online. Though we still don’t have a hard date, we know it’s coming “soon” and well before the end of the year, and to tempt folks into readying their wallets, ZeniMax has posted another deep-dive preview of what’s coming when we dive (back) into the Black Marsh province to explore Argonian culture.

“The Argonians are one of the most unusual races we have in the game. Not just because they’re lizard people, but because their culture and the way they look at things and the world is different,” ESO Zone Lead Ed Stark, who has the best name ever, writes in today’s dev blog. “Up to this point in ESO we’ve really only been able to present the Argonians as on the periphery of their civilization or within somebody else’s. But in Murkmire, you finally get to see what they’re like at home.” The dev blog also touches on swamp biome diversity, enemy mob types, and themed rewards for the map.

Meanwhile, ZeniMax notes its Summerfall event is winding down. Players are trying to reach 100% before Friday morning in order to unlock the Grand Psijic Villa for all players who own the Summerset chapter. At 92%, the community has already unlocked a pony pet and horse mount.
