Destiny 2 doubles up its glory in the competitive crucible

What you consume is just that.

Glory, glory, hallelujah, twice the glory, hallelujah. Yes, a patch has been deployed for the competitive crucible playlist in Destiny 2, and it increases the amount of Glory rank points gained and lost through play by just about double. Wins feel bigger, losses hit harder, and the same amount of effort will result in much more wild swings of placement across the board.

The stated rationale is that this will help draw a larger number of players into the upper levels of the aforementioned competitive playlist, but as player comments point out it’s more likely to have an effect on how much time existing players have to spend grinding up rank on the current ladder. It remains to be seen how much impact this has on the actual player experience, but you can check it out for yourself in the live game right now.
