Elder Scrolls Online’s Markarth DLC and update 28 are officially live for PC players

If this week is all just a little too much for you to handle, you can try living in Tamriel for a little while, thanks to the release of both the Markarth DLC and update 28 in The Elder Scrolls Online on PC (and Mac and Stadia too). It’s effectively the culmination of the year-long Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline.

The DLC itself adds two zones – the Reach and Arkthzand Caverns – as well as the Arkthzand Caverns underground Markarth itself; players will be battling the Gray Host and scoping out the single-player Vateshran Hollows Arena.

Even if you don’t sub or buy the DLC, you’re still getting the benefit of update 28, which tweaks crafting writs and adds the item set collection system.

“With Update 28, you can now add hundreds of ESO’s item sets to your Collections UI and reconstruct them at a cost of Transmutation Crystals from any Transmutation Station (such as the one found in Clockwork City). You can find your collected sets within your Collections UI under the new “Sets” section. This new system will allow you to free up much-needed inventory, bank, or coffer space since almost every set in Tamriel (with the exception of crafted ones) can now be safely “stored” in Collections.”

Console players will be waiting until next week for their turn at the finale.

Lol. This trailer tries too hard to feel epic (and fails at it)

Is it just me or did this DLC launch without all the usual pomp and ceremony of their previous DLC’s? This launch was barely a foot note on the radar of launches, was there even a cinematic this time round? lol

Probably because they thought they were going up against Shadowlands so why bother, the people that play or have played will have received emails, we were well aware of it months ago; eventually I’ll get to it but WoW is taking priority for a few months at least (part of the reason I paid up my Trade Guild dues in advance for the next year).

I guess you’re probably right, but still it seems like a lost opportunity to me. It’s one thing to lose a race you’re in, but its another not to even take part lol
