The Daily Grind: Which MMO offers the best console or mobile experience?

Every year when this Daily Grind comes ’round, I have to admit I’m not a heavy console user. I’m a PC girl, and I will always be a PC girl. Oh sure, the Switch is a fun diversion, and I am thrilled with my new Pixel, but if I have a choice, I want mouse and keyboard for gaming.

However, the market has spoken, and plenty of y’all are playing MMOs – real, serious, AAA MMORPGs – on your consoles now. And more and more westerners are playing on their phones too, and I don’t just mean imports; we had two major western MMORPGs properly launch on mobile this year, RuneScape and Albion Online. I tried the latter on my phone, too; it’s good in a pinch for mucking around on my farm, but I still prefer my desktop.

So for those of you out there who are less PC-driven or more platform-agnostic, help me out: Which MMO offers the best console or mobile experience, the best experience for any MMORPG on a device that isn’t the tried and true PC?

At the turn of every calendar year, the MassivelyOP team assembles a traditional feast of annual content for your table. We recap the year, issue awards, highlight our favorite (and least favorite) stories, and gather your opinions together to send off the last year and welcome the new one. Grab a plate and take a bite out of this year-end Daily Grind!
