Yes, it’s time for everyone who plays Final Fantasy XIV to indulge in tacos, alpacas, and pina coladas as they head off to Tural in Dawntrail. Early access to the expansion begins at 5:00 a.m. EDT this morning for players who pre-ordered the expansion, although everyone who plays will need to download the patch even if you haven’t got the expansion yet. (Although one wonders at why in that context.
As always, early access includes the full expansion, including the new regions, the two new jobs of Viper and Pictomancer, new MSQ installments, new dungeons and trials, and playable lady Hrothgar. The graphical improvements to the game, meanwhile, will be applicable to everyone even in the old areas (although some of the textures will take time to be fully updated).
