EVE Vanguard drops dev blogs themed around art, lore, and gameplay mechanics

The devs behind EVE Online’s FPS module EVE Vanguard have never shied away from talking about the game’s wider design philosophy, but now CCP Games is looking to drill down even further with a weekly series of themed dev blogs that promises to cover “multiple topics from lore, weapons and more to provide you insight into [the game’s] development journey” from now until November.

The blogs in question began in September, starting first with a look at concept art and aesthetics followed by a lore primer, while the two most recent posts have been more focused on game mechanics: A post from mid-September shared what the game’s troop deployment and map UI looks like while talking up the strategic nature of effective deployment, and last week’s post looked at a very rough and developing manufacturing feature to let players craft blueprints and chipsets.

These blogs are being posted every Monday like clockwork and appear to be part of the shooter’s run-up to an earlier referenced “major” November update and Steam early access sometime after that. Either way, those who are looking to follow very closely to Vanguard’s progress will likely want to keep their eyes peeled on the game’s Steam page.
