Old School RuneScape has got a lot of irons in the fire as evidenced by the MMORPG’s variety of dev blog posts and updates, so without further delay, it’s time to rifle through all that’s new and upcoming for the game.

Most of the big news is centered around a new patch to OSRS Mobile that adds multiple UI improvements and features, updates to PvE combat, improved visuals, new helpers for specific skills and skilling activities, and a wide host of quality-of-life updates.

The mobile patch has brought some carryover updates to the regular client as well including a host of added minimenu features and the ability to see high scores in-game. The week’s patch has also added the Curse of Arrav quest to OSRS as part of the continuation of the Mahjarrat story line, which Jagex notes is the last crossover from RuneScape before the studio plans to wrap up Mahjarrat in a manner specific to OSRS.

This week also saw Jagex take a close look at some planned PvP updates like loot adjustments, what gear players can bring to certain activities, and a laundry list of changes to Bounty Hunter that affect gear, double EP earnings, and add the ability for players to put together supply crates.

Finally, RuneScape is reaching further into the world of the printed page with new releases that are out now. The Fall of Hallowvale, the newest novel from the MMO, tells the story of Queen Efaritay and Hallowvale’s knights defending against Lord Drakan and his dark armies, while issue one of the MMO’s first-ever comic series, Untold Tales of the God Wars, expands on the quest line of the same name in a four-part miniseries.
