When the NDA is away, the cats will play — and take screenshots! Bless our dear community for documenting upcoming MMOs as they venture into these virgin territories.
ZulikaMiNam had some fun in one game that I haven’t seen much from readers yet: “Since there are no NDA restrictions imposed for this alpha weekend kickoff over at Shards Online I will post some pics from there. I accidentally healed a skeleton while trying to heal myself. So my name turns grey and anyone can kill me now. Time to lay low for a bit.”
Are you still laying low? You can… probably come out now. That skeleton owes you a life debt for that heroic action.
Last week I asked for some housing shots, and ToyFuzion was up to the challenge.
“I love housing in Black Desert!” ToyFuzion said. “Here is my character’s event venue filled with guests at a RP event I hosted over the weekend. Roleplay and decorating are my ‘endgame’ activities, and I’m kept happily busy decorating and creating buildings for RP!”
NoctisGray gives us a look at another upcoming MMORPG, this one from overseas: “I’ve been playing Moonlight Blade on its native Chinese servers because I love Eastern MMO’s and I love martial arts, so I just couldn’t stop myself from peeking at it. Here’s my Taibai (standard traditional Chinese swordsman)!”
Someone pointed out that it was refreshing to see an Asian MMO with realistic-sized weapons. I concur.
I’m not entirely sure which game this one is from, but based on its seafaring nature and gorgeous water, I’m going to say ArcheAge? Final answer?
“Here is a piccture of me and the gang out and about on the open seas getting farm scarecrows for guildies as more land became available in our hood,” Deekay_zero said.
If you could take an existing building in the game and move into it, what would it be? Hirku has a notion of one from Lord of the Rings Online: “If I was a Mathom this would be my House, but unfortunately I’m far too useful.”
It’s a very cozy building if you ever get enough reputation to go inside of it. I wouldn’t mind it as a player house!
I want to remind you all that you can all but guarantee a spot in this column if you email in a screenshot (or several!) with a story to justin@massivelyop.com! Don’t be afraid to take advantage of it.
This week’s screenshot challenge is circling back to pets. What’s your favorite combat or vanity pet (or even companion)? Take a picture and tell us why! Bonus points for cutsey-wootsy language when appropriate.
