With the snap of fall and change of the leaves, the season has taken a change as we go into the last four months of the year. There’s still a lot coming for MMO fans, including a new expansion for EverQuest II, the launches of Fallout 76 and MapleStory 2, the last hurrah of WildStar, and numerous beta, alpha, and early access tests.
That isn’t even to mention that we’re venturing into Halloween territory here in October, which is a sacred holiday of sorts for MMORPG. If your game doesn’t spew pumpkins, headless horsemen, and candy everywhere, it ain’t worth playing!
So looking ahead to this fall, what are your MMO plans? Do you have long-term goals you’re working on attaining? Are you going to change your gaming up this season?

Well I might be playing ark survival’s new expansion otherwise I just started GW2 so I hope to continue that. As well as more Wow private server fun.
Still waiting on AI:R, Camelot Unchained, Ashes,New World to show some skin.
Logged into Archeage last Saturday just to see what was going on and it was like a ghost town only saw 1 player on my server . See what pay to win gets you ….
I’ve been immersed in EOS for the last month and I plan on renewing my sub and continuing that for the rest of the year at least.
The fall? Oh my. My fall is loaded game wise. Not all MMOs mind you but we can’t all be perfect.
Ok. So, first a few games I need to get a look at and possibly play. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Forza Horizon 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Battlefield V, Mega Man 11, Soulcalibur VI, Hitman 2, Maplestory 2.
And then there are the must plays of the season. Fallout 76, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Red Dead Redemption 2, Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
On top of all that, there are my usual holiday visits to games: SWTOR, PoE, **Wildstar ( a farewell visit), Fortnite.
Last but not least my current mainstay Blade and Soul.
So, yeah. I’ll be busy this fall. But, meh. Those are the best-laid plans of mice and men because there is always one game that unexpectedly ends up getting most of my attention.
Almost hate to admit it, but I have never played a Tomb Raider game. I wonder if Shadow would be as good a place as any to start?
Well, I’m playing Shadow because of the previous version Rise of the Tomb Raider (RTR). Basically, RTR is a reboot of the franchise as previous gameplay and story were stale and it knocked it out of the park. Great story, fun game mechanics, and a fresh start with Laura Craft’s origin story. It might be a good place to start as it is cheap now and will no doubt be part of Steam sales.
But, even if jump directly into Shadow, these latest versions fo Tomb Raider are great fun. They are adventure games with puzzles, shooting, and action cinematic sequences.

Fallout 76 holds precisely zero interest for me.
I hear ya man about F76, and this is coming from someone whose’ favorite single player RPG is New Vegas. Sighs.
