Skull and Bones is now targeting February 2024 for its launch following eleventy billion delays

OK, it was really "only" seven delays

Insider Gaming is reporting that Ubisoft has finally narrowed down Skull and Bones’ launch date to February 16th, 2024. And believe it or not, that’s not a delay… not this time.

By our count, the pirate MMO has been delayed publicly at least seven times since its unveiling; we even had a hands-on with the game at E3 all the way back in 2017 when it was announced. Obviously, what Ubisoft will finally ship next year will have little in common with that demo version.

In Ubisoft’s last investor report, the company delayed the launch to FYQ4 – between January and March of next year – so this latest leak appears to be firming up that date, not changing it. As we noted at the time, the news follows a low-profile PC closed beta earlier this year.

Insider Gaming’s sources say that in addition to the pre-order still on the Ubisoft Store, the studio will launch a more expensive “premium” version of the game with a three-day headstart. We concur with the assumption that this will all be announced at The Game Awards in December, so file it under “very likely rumors” for now.
