So we’ve been over the fact that World of Warcraft fans will find that WoW Classic is rolling plenty of hashtag ch-ch-ch-changes into Cataclysm at this point, but what the patch actually contain? You don’t have to speculate, as the full patch notes have been posted. Some of these changes will, of course, be very familiar to veterans, like making Goblins and Worgen playable, new class/race combinations, leveling changes, and so forth. Other changes will be familiar but slightly ahistoric, like the removal of pet happiness which didn’t happen until patch 4.1 originally.
Others still are more significant, such as additional customizations that were previously only available for NPCs or the wild changes made to the guild perk system compared to the expansion at launch. Check out the full patch notes for a clearer picture of how things will be different, both “from the previous patch” and “from the original launch of Cataclysm back in the day.” You know, if all the Shattering-related fallout across the zones was somehow easy to miss.
