World of Warcraft: Classic is surveying players about rolling out The Burning Crusade

Really studying the heck out of a skull.

The rumors about The Burning Crusade coming to World of Warcraft: Classic were at once rather obvious and also seem all but certain at this point. Random players of the game have gotten surveys asking about the next steps for WoW Classic, asking both about the prospect of a TBC server as well as a “fresh start” server for the original version rolling back to phase one of the game’s content structure. That seems to indicate that Blizzard itself is still weighing the options for what players want moving forward.

Further rumors come from a former Nostalrius developer suggesting that news about this could come before the new year rolls around, as said former developer has seemed to have some accurate inside information before. It’d certainly be one way to cap off the year for Activision-Blizzard, which has already closed with its stock at a 27-year high thanks in no small part to the successes of Shadowlands as an expansion launch.
