Destiny 2 shares content arriving in Echoes Act 2, balance updates, and story release changes

Earlier this week a developer stream from Bungie showcased what was coming up in the near future for Destiny 2, but if you don’t have the time to watch a 30 minute-long video, then you’ll likely be pleased to know that the salient points are summarized in this week’s newsletter. Yes, this meeting could literally have been an email.

Most of the focus of the video and this newsletter is about the content coming in Act 2 of the Echoes episode, which will include three new battlegrounds that link into each other in terms of narrative beats, two new exotic weapons and the return of the Perfect Paradox exotic, a new row of artifact perks, and some balancing for some abilities, weapons, and armor mods scheduled for early August.

Looking further forward, Bungie has confirmed that the Revenant episode will eschew the weekly story rollout of this current episode and release all of the story content at once. This is explained by the studio as a way to let players enjoy the shooter’s episodic story content at their own pace.

Finally, the devs offer a preview of the armor that will be associated with the returning Solstice summer event. More details about the event itself are promised in next week’s newsletter, but fans can get a peek ahead of time if they wish.
