Survival sim Fractured Veil’s devs made lore a priority with its August update, saying, “We’ve been hard at work on another round of bug fixes and game improvements. We’ve added a bunch of new readables in the game, including player intros you’ll find on log benches in every starting area. One of the things we’ve heard from the community is that there wasn‘t enough information about what happened to the world, specifically Maui, where you find yourself returned to life as a clone.”

“Today, we’ll be talking about changes to the post-pen effects for APHE shells used by ground vehicles that we plan to introduce into the game,” said War Thunder. Also: “Today, we’ll be taking a look at the T1E1 (90 mm), a vehicle that derived from fitting the T1E1 with a more powerful 90 mm cannon.”

Apex Legends talked about its anti-cheat measures, saying that it’s banned more than 6M accounts since launch, with around 100K per month on average.

Activision shut down the popular Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer mod H2M because it threatened to hurt sales of Black Ops 6.

Uncharted Waters Origin brought out its Salvage update that “involves users playing a mini-game to salvage sunken ships at specific locations on the World Map. Upon completing the mini-game, users can obtain rare treasure chests which contain parts and gear. Users can also obtain ships from rare treasure chests at a chance as well.”

Conqueror’s Guild beta began for Orna: “The Orna beta runs within a separate app, server, and environment than what you are used to. Your progress in the beta version will not affect your progress in the live version of Orna (and vice-versa). Participation in the beta will require a new character but enabling ‘Sandbox mode’ will start new characters at level 250 with full inventories.”

Bungie announced: “Classic Marathon Infinity is now available on Steam for free with Steam Workshop support.”

MU Online dropped a patch with a new elemental hunting ground called Tormenta Island, apocalypse weapons, and ancient lightning armors.

Atlantica Online’s August 22nd update included a new region, a revamped combat system, and special in-game events: “Dive into a brand-new region, explore thrilling new dungeons, and discover hidden treasures that will challenge even the most seasoned players. Get ready to pack up to travel to new areas, like the Conquered Eremos!”
