The tricky thing about games that offer you a lot of freedom when it comes to building is that sometimes it’s difficult to figure out where to start. That’s the core idea behind the upcoming easy build mode in Starbase, which will hopefully make the art of putting together a ship feel less daunting and more doable. That’s a good thing, right? Right.
Furthermore, in other beta news, consider this:
- Wild Terra 2 is growing its team and adding a map. Those are two separate clauses, we should note. The map is not contingent on having a bigger team.
- Magic Legends will have three worlds to explore when it launches and it’s already selling its cosmetics ahead of early testing. Those are also two separate clauses.
- Frozen Flame has a demo out on Steam during the current game festival. That’s a single clause. Depending on how you feel about the game, it might be a very good clause.
- Elyon is showing off its new Slayer class, a two-handed-sword wielder that, well, slays things. Hence the name. That would arguably be a connected clause.
For further consideration, why not take a gander at the list of games in testing just below? That’s worthy of consideration. And if something jumped into a new test phase without us noticing, you can let us know down in the comments; we will consider that fact, and it will also be considerate. We’ve come full circle.
As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.
