Every time I see someone flying on top of a dragon or other winged mount, all I can imagine is a huge bundle of panic triggers. No seatbelt? Constant wind and bugs in the face? At the whim of a hungry animal who might decide that you’re convenient takeout perched on its back?
But maybe the worst is the lack of windshield wipers — and a roof — in the midst of a downpour. Vincent captured this one from Guild Wars 2, saying, “Switched gears this past week. I thought I was done with Secrets of the Obscure, but then I accidentally came across the last item I needed to further my goal of owning a skyscale permanently and I decided to finish the mastery.”
Maybe up in the air in the smart place to be in Guild Wars 2, because if you ever land, you’re subjected to all manner of tomfoolery. Bobble-headed characters? What is this! This is supposed to be a serious and respectable gaming establishment!
“Drinking from some random table resulted in heavy heads,” confessed Minimalistway.
But even on the ground, you’re not safe. At any moment in DC Universe Online, you may look up and see the Pigtailed Avenger known as Utakata raining down on you with steel-tipped boots of justice. And no insurance company is going to pay out on that claim.
IronSalamander8 stopped to smell the advertisements in Plants vs Zombies: “My Welder zombie with his spiffing marshmallow roasting chapeau takes note of Crazy Dave’s posters that are obviously based on some classic WW2 posters!”
And I’ll wrap this week up with a shot of my new River Hobbit in Lord of the Rings Online getting an eye-full of Ered Luin. That gorgeous pink-purple haze isn’t Elf magic, it’s radioactive fallout. Still pretty, though.
