2024 is already shaping up to be an interesting year with plenty to anticipate from the big MMOs. We’re looking at expansions for World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, Guild Wars 2, and Elder Scrolls Online, plus launches for Throne & Liberty, Blue Protocol, Tarisland, and plenty more. Weirdly, all the delays in 2023 have built 2024 into what could potentially be one of the biggest years for core MMORPGs in ages, and I’m not sorry at all.

Now, today’s Daily Grind is not about your personal most anticipated; it’s about the game you think has a bright and sparkling future based on its present offerings and outlook. Consider it the opposite of our Stormiest Future award. Which MMO has the brightest future in 2024?

At the turn of every calendar year, the MassivelyOP team assembles a traditional feast of annual content for your table. We recap the year, issue awards, highlight our favorite (and least favorite) stories, and gather your opinions together to send off the last year and welcome the new one. Grab a plate and take a bite out of this year-end Daily Grind!
