Owly enough for the owl club.

If you were among the many fans who were holding a candle for the third-person MOBA shooter Gigantic, then your faith has been rewarded today, as the game has returned as Gigantic: Rampage Edition, a buy-to-play version of the original title with a few new tricks and quality-of-life features added on top.

The highlight of this new version of Gigantic is Rush mode, which effectively condenses the original’s match format into faster sessions with less objectives and smaller maps. The original mode is also available in the form of Clash mode, while two new maps, unreleased skins and characters, an updated fortune card system, and custom loadout features are also part of the package.

The relaunch patch notes provide more details on updates to the game since a February playtest, including balance tweaks for several characters, a lowered stamina cost for jumping attacks, and a host of bug fixes. There are a couple of known issues listed, specifically a bug related to custom matches and a “waiting for unknown match” message while queuing.

Gigantic is available for PS5, PS4, Xbox X|S, Xbox One, and PC via the Arc Games launcher, Steam, or EGS, with the whole microtransaction-free game available for $20. A 20% discount is also available until April 16th, though PlayStation owners need to be subscribed to PS Plus to get the lowered price. If you would rather wait and watch before buying in, there’s a launch trailer below, as well as our own impressions pieces for Rush mode and Clash mode.
