The next Guild Wars 2 expansion has the wrong date listed because Janthir Wilds should obviously be coming out in October. Why? So you can have a Spear-It Halloween, of course! We have fun here. But you can have more fun with spears once the expansion launches on August 20th, giving everyone access to land-based spear abilities, and the latest preview shows off how Warriors, Thieves, and Engineers will use their long poles with pointy bits of metal on the end.
Thieves will get special lead-combo-finish combos in the second and third slots along with applying bonuses to the four and fifth slots through the full combo. Meanwhile, Warriors go full power by taking inspiration from Sunspear warriors to strike at range, and Engineers use the weapon for melee rushing with shock damage along the way.
